How Tea Extract Ventures Get Funded

Tea extract sits in an awkward spot for lenders. It is not a café and it is not a pharmaceutical plant. It is a botanical ingredient manufacturer selling business-to-business into supplement brands, functional beverage houses, RTD bottlers and cosmetic formulators. The capital profile looks industrial, the margins look like specialty chemicals, and the customer list is short and concentrated. That combination decides how you write the plan long before the marketing section.

In the United States your business falls under NAICS 311942 — Spice and Extract Manufacturing, with an SBA size standard of 500 employees (IBISWorld, NAICS 311942). That code determines eligibility and benchmarks your projections against peer files. File yourself under generic food service and the underwriter re-codes you, then wonders why your cost lines look nothing like the code they moved you into.

What the SBA 7(a) numbers say

The 7(a) programme is the realistic first door for a US tea extract build. In fiscal year 2025 the average 7(a) loan size was $477,571, and the programme guaranteed roughly 77,600 loans totalling about $37 billion, with the second quarter alone clearing $10 billion — the second-highest single quarter in programme history (Crestmont Capital, SBA 7(a) Loan Statistics). The programme ceiling is $5M (U.S. Small Business Administration).

Read that average carefully — it is the single most useful number on this page. $477,571 is almost exactly the gap between a toll-manufactured launch and a modest own-plant build. The SBA route comfortably funds an asset-light start and part-funds a first extraction line; it does not fund a turnkey GMP facility on its own. Ask for $1.4M in a first-time 7(a) file and you are asking for three times the programme average with no operating history.

Manufacturing is not a disfavoured category — the sector posts default rates under 4%, and niche manufacturers with contract-backed revenue often move through underwriting faster than average. That is the lever. A tea extract plan with two signed offtake letters behind it is not read as a manufacturing startup; it is read as a contract-backed manufacturer with a build-out need. Same business, two different credit memos.

The UK funding stack

British founders work a different ladder. The Start Up Loan tops out at £25,000 per founder at 6% fixed — useful for a three-founder team stacking to £75K of unsecured seed money, nowhere near an extraction line. Real UK capital here comes from asset finance against the equipment, because a spray dryer and extraction vessels are exactly the resaleable, serial-numbered collateral asset financiers like. Expect a 60–80% advance on equipment value over 5–7 years, converting a £400K equipment bill into a £90K deposit and a monthly line you can model.

Grant money clusters around innovation — a novel low-solvent extraction method, a decaffeination route that preserves catechin profile — not around building a conventional plant. If you cannot articulate what is technically new, budget zero grant income. Angel equity works only when the story is a branded ingredient with defensible specification rather than a commodity toller, and that requires compositional differentiation you can name in one sentence.

Investor pitch, fill in the blanks

"[Company] manufactures [grade, e.g. decaffeinated 50%-polyphenol green tea extract] from [origin, e.g. single-estate Assam leaf] for [buyer type, e.g. UK and EU functional beverage brands]. We hold [X] letters of intent covering [Y] tonnes annually at [£Z]/kg, against a break-even of [B] tonnes. We are raising [amount] to move from toll manufacture to an owned line at month [N], which lifts gross margin from [a]% to [b]% and removes our single-supplier dependency. Our edge is [the one technical or commercial fact a competitor cannot copy this year]."

If you cannot fill the last blank honestly, you are raising against a commodity, and you should be talking to asset financiers rather than angels.

The Tea Extract Market in 2026

The global tea extract market was valued at $2.99 billion in 2025 and is forecast to reach $4.36 billion by 2030, a 7.8% compound annual growth rate (MarketsandMarkets, Tea Extracts Market 2025–2030). Not every house agrees on the base: an alternative estimate puts 2025 at $4.67 billion growing to $6.79 billion by 2030 at 8.23%. The spread is definitional, not sloppy — the wider figure absorbs instant tea powders and beverage bases, the narrower holds to standardised extracts. Pick one, name it, cite it. An underwriter who sees two irreconcilable TAM numbers stops trusting the financial section.

Green tea is the segment, not the whole market

Green tea extracts account for the largest share of the tea extract market, and they carry their own published number: $3,434.7 million of revenue in 2025, growing to $6,508.1 million by 2035 at a 6.6% CAGR (Future Market Insights, Green Tea Extracts Market). The pull is consumer awareness of antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and weight-management claims. Black tea extract, oolong and white tea extracts share what is left, with black tea holding real volume in beverage bases and instant applications rather than in supplements.

The number that matters to a founder is one level downstream. The green tea supplements market — the finished goods your extract ends up inside — is $6.4 billion in 2025, heading to $11.0 billion by 2035 at 6.1% (Green Tea Supplements Market report, 2025). That is your demand pool. Every capsule, gummy, RTD and pre-workout in that $6.4B needs somebody's extract, and each of those SKUs is decided by a purchasing manager comparing three certificates of analysis. Write the plan for that purchasing manager: they are the actual market.

Where the demand physically is

Asia-Pacific dominates production and it is not close. China and India supply the overwhelming majority of leaf and of commodity extract capacity; Synthite Industries in Kerala is described as Asia's largest spice and tea extract producer, and Indian and Chinese houses set the world floor price on standardised material. North America and Europe are the demand centres and the premium price zones, because that is where the compliance burden, the traceability expectations and the willingness to pay for documentation live.

The competitive set at the top is small and well-capitalised. Martin Bauer Group is the European herbal and tea extract authority. Finlays is the global leader in instant tea powder for beverages and in May 2025 launched "Finlays Solutions", an evolved extracts business built to support beverage operators with technology and consumer insight. Taiyo International specialises in matcha and green tea extract and publishes formulator-facing guidance on EU EGCG limits. Kemin Industries supplies tea-derived bioactives into food, beverage and nutraceutical applications. International Flavors & Fragrances, AVT Tea Sources and Tata Consumer Products appear across the same competitive coverage.

You will not out-scale any of them, and a plan implying otherwise reads as naive. What you can do is be faster, narrower and more documented than the commodity importers sitting between them and small brands — most extract reaching small Western brands passes through a trading intermediary who cannot answer a question about catechin degradation on a phone call. That is the gap a new entrant occupies.

What is genuinely changing

  • Ready-to-drink is pulling extract volume out of supplements. The fastest-growing application is functional beverage — cold-brew bases, energy drinks using tea-derived caffeine, low-sugar sparkling formats. These buyers want liquid or highly soluble powder, not standard 50% material.
  • The EU regulatory line has become a segmentation line. Since Regulation (EU) 2022/2340, the daily-portion EGCG cap sorts the market into products sellable into Europe without redesign and products that are not. A moat for suppliers who built to spec, a wall for those who did not.
  • Traceability is now a price attribute. Buyers want origin down to the estate and will pay for it — the easiest premium for a small operator to capture, because incumbents blend for consistency and structurally cannot offer it.
  • Decaffeinated grades carry a real premium and remain technically hard, because most decaffeination routes strip catechins alongside caffeine. Whoever solves it cheaply owns a segment.

Capital Required: Toll Manufacture vs Your Own Plant

There is no single startup cost for a tea extract business, and any page giving you one has not thought about it. There are two businesses wearing the same name, roughly seven times apart in capital.

The toll path — you own the specification, brand, customer relationships and quality oversight; a contract extractor owns the vessels. Realistic capital: $185,000 to $420,000 (£146,000 to £332,000), mostly working capital rather than iron.

The own-plant path — you buy the extraction line, evaporator, spray dryer and the facility to put them in. Realistic capital: $700,000 to $1,450,000 (£553,000 to £1,145,000). It buys margin, control and a resaleable asset base, and costs you eighteen months and a harder credit conversation.

Line-by-line cost breakdown

  • Extraction line (percolation or countercurrent vessels, filtration): $120K–$480K (£95K–£380K). Batch percolation is cheaper and slower; countercurrent gives you better yield and continuous throughput but roughly doubles the bill.
  • Concentration and spray dryer: $150K–$520K (£118K–£410K). The largest single line, and the one most worth tolling in year one. A dryer sized for 40 tonnes a year sits idle most of the week until you have volume to fill it.
  • GMP facility fit-out, HVAC, food-grade surfaces, drainage: $90K–$260K (£71K–£205K). Cheap industrial units almost never pass a supplement-grade audit without this spend, and founders routinely leave it out of the model.
  • QC laboratory: $55K–$140K (£43K–£110K). HPLC for catechin and EGCG assay, moisture balance, heavy-metals arrangement, and microbiology. You can outsource the micro; you cannot sensibly outsource catechin assay if you want same-week release.
  • Certification stack (cGMP audit, organic, kosher/halal, ISO 22000 or FSSC): $18K–$62K (£14K–£49K) in year one, with annual surveillance after. Organic certification typically pays for itself within two years on a premium-grade product; the others are table stakes for many buyers.
  • Raw leaf working capital: $40K–$180K (£32K–£142K). At a 4:1 extraction ratio, every tonne of finished powder needs four tonnes of leaf bought months before the invoice clears. This is where undercapitalised extract businesses actually die.
  • Analytical and regulatory dossier work: $15K–$85K (£12K–£67K). Method validation for your COA, plus an NDI file or a novel-food assessment if your composition triggers one.
  • Insurance (product liability, facility, recall): $12K–$48K (£9K–£38K) in year one. Recall cover is not optional for an ingredient supplier: your product ends up inside somebody else's branded SKU, and their recall becomes your claim.

The number founders forget

Solvent recovery. Extract with ethanol or a hydroalcoholic system and you either recover it or buy it again every batch and pay to dispose of what is left. A recovery unit is $40K–$120K, and it is the difference between a variable cost line that behaves and one that quietly eats four points of gross margin. Aqueous-only extraction sidesteps this at the cost of a narrower range: you can make good standardised polyphenol material with water, but high-EGCG fractions generally want a solvent step.

The second is trial cost. Every serious buyer wants a pilot lot, tests it, and will likely reject the first one on a specification detail you did not know they cared about. Budget three to five near-free pilot lots into year one — $15K–$40K of finished goods given away, and the most reliable marketing spend in this business.

Pricing, Yield and the Per-Batch Contribution Maths

Tea extract has one of the widest price ranges of any food ingredient, and the range is not noise — it is three separate businesses.

  • Commodity band, roughly $23–$40/kg. HerbalSourcing lists tea polyphenols at 98% with 50% EGCG at about USD 11.75 per 500g bag FOB China, which works out near $23.50/kg (HerbalSourcing, 2025 listing). No Western manufacturer can compete here, and a plan that models Western costs against this price is arithmetically dead on arrival.
  • Documented Western band, $60–$140/kg. Full traceability, local manufacture, same-timezone technical support, audit-ready paperwork, short lead times. This is where a new entrant actually lives.
  • Specialty band, $180–$400/kg. Decaffeinated, 98% EGCG pharma grade, organic single-origin, or a custom catechin ratio. Small volumes, real margin, and buyers who stay.

Gross margins run 28–46% on standardised commodity-adjacent grades and 48–64% on decaffeinated, organic or custom-ratio material. Net profitability lands at 6–14% once QC, certification, freight and the pilot-lot giveaway are all loaded in. Anyone promising you 30% net on a botanical extract has not run a QC department.

Worked example: a 40-tonne UK operation

Take a Lancashire plant selling standardised 50%-polyphenol green tea extract at £78/kg into UK and EU supplement brands, shipping 40 tonnes a year.

  • Revenue: 40,000kg × £78 = £3.12M
  • Raw leaf: at a 4:1 extraction ratio, 160 tonnes of dry leaf in. At £6.20/kg landed = £992K, or 31.8% of revenue
  • Extraction energy, solvent recovery, consumables: £310K
  • Direct labour: £248K
  • QC and COA testing: £156K
  • Total COGS £1.71M → gross profit £1.41M, gross margin 45.2%
  • Overheads (facility, certification, insurance, sales, admin): £1.04M
  • EBITDA £370K — an 11.9% net margin

Break-even sits at roughly 23.5 tonnes a year. That single number is the spine of the plan. Everything above 23.5 tonnes is profit; everything below it is a burn rate. A lender does not want your TAM slide, they want to know how you contract past 23.5 tonnes and what happens in month nine if you are at fourteen.

Per-batch contribution

Zoom in one more level, because this is the maths that survives contact with reality. A single 2,000kg leaf batch at a 4:1 ratio yields around 500kg of finished 50%-polyphenol powder. At £78/kg that batch is worth £39,000. Leaf costs £12,400, processing and labour £8,750, QC and COA £1,950. Contribution: £15,900 per batch, 40.8%. A plant running 80 batches a year clears £1.27M of contribution before overhead.

Now change one input. If extraction yield drifts from 4:1 to 4.8:1 — plausible with a poor leaf lot or a badly controlled temperature profile — leaf cost per batch rises to £14,880 and contribution falls to £13,420, a 16% hit from a variable most founders never model. Show that sensitivity. It is the fastest way to signal you have operated something.

Revenue lines beyond the powder

  • Contract extraction for third parties — sell spare vessel hours. This is how you fill a dryer you bought too early.
  • Custom specification development — charge £8K–£25K to develop a bespoke catechin ratio or solubility profile, then own the supply for that SKU.
  • Liquid and beverage-base formats — higher freight cost, but RTD bottlers pay for a format that drops straight into their line.
  • Spent leaf valorisation — feed, biochar, cosmetic actives. Small money, but it flips a disposal cost into a credit.
  • Private-label finished goods — highest margin, biggest strategic risk: the moment you sell capsules you compete with the brands buying your extract.

Three Ways to Build a Tea Extract Business

Before a single number goes into the model you have to pick a lane. Each has a different capital need, margin ceiling, buyer, and reason a lender says yes or no.

Most successful plans we write here are hybrids: toll for eighteen months to prove demand and build a COA history, then bridge to an owned line at a stated volume trigger. The trigger is what makes it credible. "We will build a plant when we hit 30 tonnes of contracted annual volume" is a plan. "We will build a plant in year two" is a hope, and underwriters read the difference in about four seconds.

One structural warning on the toll lane: your contract extractor sees your specification, volumes, buyer names and growth curve, and nothing stops them going direct. Keep the specification and buyer relationship in your own name, keep the analytical method as your IP, and never let the toller invoice your customer.

Compliance: EGCG Limits, cGMP and the 75-Day Clock

Tea extract is one of the very few botanical ingredients with a named, numeric regulatory ceiling written into European law. That single fact reshapes the product strategy, and it is the part of the plan most first-time founders get wrong.

European Union — the 800mg EGCG line

In 2018 EFSA concluded that EGCG intake at or above 800mg/day from food supplements may be associated with initial signs of liver damage, while catechins from ordinary green tea infusions are generally safe (EFSA, 2018). Four years later the Commission acted. Regulation (EU) 2022/2340, published 1 December 2022 and in force from 21 December 2022, amended Annex III of Regulation (EC) 1925/2006 to add green tea extracts containing EGCG to the restricted-substances list (EUR-Lex, Regulation (EU) 2022/2340). Non-compliant stock could remain on the market only until 21 June 2023.

What it requires in practice:

  • A daily portion must contain less than 800mg of EGCG.
  • The label must state EGCG content per portion and the maximum number of daily portions.
  • Warning statements are mandatory, covering the 800mg cap, cumulative consumption across other green tea products, vulnerable groups (pregnant and lactating women, under-18s), and not taking it on an empty stomach.
  • Exemption: aqueous green tea extracts that, once reconstituted in a beverage, have a composition comparable to a traditional green tea infusion sit outside the restriction.

Read that exemption again — it is a product strategy, not a footnote. If your route to Europe is beverage rather than supplement, an aqueous extract designed to reconstitute like an infusion moves you outside the restricted list entirely. Plan the spec around the regulation and you get a market. Plan the spec first and read the regulation later and you get a £3K–£20K label rework and a stalled launch.

United Kingdom

  • Food business establishment registration with your local authority's environmental health team. Free, but must be done at least 28 days before you trade.
  • Retained EU 2022/2340 EGCG rules apply at first sale. Post-Brexit divergence has not moved the 800mg line.
  • FSA position: green tea supplements are food supplements regulated by the FSA rather than the MHRA, so there is no pre-market proof of safety or efficacy requirement equivalent to a licensed medicine. Do not mistake that for freedom — the FSA's Chemical Risk Assessment team reviewed the EFSA opinion and agreed with its conclusions, and the Committee on Toxicity has published on the hepatotoxicity of green tea catechins (COT, Statement on the Hepatotoxicity of Green Tea Catechins). Enforcement tracks the 800mg line.
  • HACCP plan, and in practice FSSC 22000 or BRCGS if you want to supply anyone selling into UK retail. £8K–£28K in year one, 4–8 months to get there.
  • Trading Standards will look at claims. Antioxidant and weight-management language on a downstream label is your customer's problem legally, but if your sell sheet supplied the claim you are in the chain.

United States

  • FDA Food Facility Registration under FSMA. No fee, biennial renewal, must be live before your first shipment.
  • 21 CFR Part 111 dietary supplement cGMP. The final rule was published in June 2007 and requires anyone manufacturing, packaging, labeling or holding a dietary supplement to establish and follow current good manufacturing practice so the product meets the master manufacturing record (eCFR, 21 CFR Part 111). FDA explicitly notes that botanical extracts present challenges for identity and strength testing, and for contaminants such as toxic elements and microbial pathogens. Translation: your catechin identity method is a live inspection issue, not paperwork. Budget $25K–$90K to build the quality system, 4–9 months to implement.
  • New Dietary Ingredient notification, 21 CFR 190.6. If your ingredient is not grandfathered, you must file at least 75 days before it enters interstate commerce, with the basis for concluding it is reasonably expected to be safe. For a botanical you must give the Latin binomial including the author — Camellia sinensis (L.) Kuntze — plus the manufacturer or distributor's name and complete address and a description of the supplement containing it (FDA, NDI Notification Process). Conventional green tea extract is generally grandfathered; a novel solvent, a materially new ratio or a new composition can pull you into scope. Getting this wrong is a $40K–$150K dossier and a 75-day gap discovered after the plant is built.
  • State food processing licence from your state department of agriculture or health. $200–$1,500 a year, 2–10 weeks.
  • Proposition 65 if you ship to California. Heavy metals in botanicals are a live issue and your COA needs to speak to it.

India

Worth understanding even if you never manufacture there, because it is where much of your leaf and your competition originates. FSSAI's Health Supplements and Nutraceuticals Regulations 2022 have been mandatory for all Food Business Operators since 1 April 2022. Regulation 16 requires botanical ingredients to be sourced per the Indian Pharmacopoeia, the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia or another recognised compendium, with extractive ratios tied to the daily usage value and only the scheduled plant part permitted (FSSAI, Nutraceuticals Compendium). You need two things: an FSSAI licence for the facility and a product approval per SKU. If you import Indian extract, ask your supplier which compendial monograph they work to — the ones who answer immediately are the ones worth buying from.

Seven Mistakes That Sink the Plan

The specific failures we see in tea extract plans arriving for review, in rough order of how often they are fatal.

1. Building the plan on the TAM instead of the offtake

A $2.99B global market tells a lender nothing about whether you can sell 30 tonnes. Every extract plan that gets funded leads with contracted volume and treats the market number as a footnote. Invert that order and you have written a market report, not a business plan.

2. Quoting a Chinese FOB price against a Western cost base

You cannot model £6.20/kg landed leaf, UK labour and FSSC certification, then benchmark your price against $23.50/kg material from a Chinese exporter. Those numbers belong to different businesses. Either compete on documentation and traceability at $60–$140/kg, or do not compete.

3. Leaving the extraction ratio out of the working-capital line

At 4:1, every tonne of powder you sell in March needs four tonnes of leaf bought the previous autumn. Tea leaf is seasonal, origin-priced and does not wait for your cash flow. This kills more sound extract businesses than anything else, and it never shows in the P&L — it shows in the cash flow statement, which is exactly why founders miss it.

4. Treating EU 2022/2340 as a labelling problem

It is a specification constraint. The regulation decides which grades you can sell into Europe at all, and the aqueous-infusion exemption decides whether you can bypass it. Discovering this after committing to a high-EGCG spec means redesigning the product, not reprinting a label.

5. Assuming grandfathered status and skipping the NDI clock

The 75-day window under 21 CFR 190.6 is not a queue you can join late. Assume your extract is covered, then discover a novel solvent pulls you into scope, and you lose a quarter with a built plant and no legal route to market.

6. Buying the spray dryer first

It is the largest capital line and the easiest thing to toll out. Buying it before you have contracted volume converts your biggest asset into your biggest fixed cost, and a half-empty dryer is where extract margin dies. Toll it, prove the volume, buy it at a stated trigger.

7. Presenting one blended price per kilogram

Commodity, documented-Western and 98% EGCG specialty are three businesses with three buyers, three margin profiles and three capital needs. A single blended price tells a reader you have not decided which one you are in — and they will decide for you, unfavourably.

We rebuilt it around a different question: not "what does the plant cost?" but "what has to be true before the plant is worth building?" The answer was 30 tonnes of contracted annual volume. The plan led with two signed letters of intent covering 14 tonnes at £81/kg, showed a toll route to first revenue in month five, and set a dated bridge — own line at month 20, conditional on the 30-tonne trigger. The TAM moved to an appendix. The EGCG specification, built to sit under the EU 2022/2340 daily-portion ceiling, moved to page two.

The £310,000 came in three pieces: a £25,000 Start Up Loan at 6% fixed, £185,000 of asset finance released at the month-20 trigger, and £100,000 from an angel who had exited a supplement brand and understood immediately why same-timezone technical support was worth £20/kg. Year one closed at 22 tonnes — short of the trigger, past the 23.5-tonne break-even only because the mix skewed to a decaffeinated grade at £134/kg.

It depends entirely on whether you own the extraction plant. Do I need FDA approval to sell green tea extract?
Not approval, but there are hard requirements. You must register your facility with the FDA under FSMA before shipping, and you must comply with 21 CFR Part 111 dietary supplement cGMP — the rule finalised in June 2007 that FDA explicitly notes is challenging for botanical extracts on identity, strength and contaminant testing. If your ingredient is not grandfathered, you must file a New Dietary Ingredient notification under 21 CFR 190.6 at least 75 days before it enters interstate commerce, including the Latin binomial with author. Conventional green tea extract is generally grandfathered; a novel solvent or materially new composition can pull you into scope.
Why is green tea extract restricted in the EU?
EFSA concluded in 2018 that EGCG doses at 800mg/day from supplements may be associated with initial signs of liver damage, while catechins from ordinary tea infusions are generally safe. Regulation (EU) 2022/2340, published 1 December 2022 and in force from 21 December 2022, added green tea extracts containing EGCG to the restricted-substances list in Annex III of Regulation (EC) 1925/2006. A daily portion must contain under 800mg of EGCG, and labels must state EGCG per portion, the maximum daily portions, and warnings covering the cap, cumulative consumption, pregnancy and under-18s, and empty-stomach use. Aqueous extracts that reconstitute to something comparable to a traditional infusion are exempt.
How much green tea leaf does it take to make 1kg of extract?
Around 4kg of dry leaf per 1kg of finished 50%-polyphenol powder, though the ratio moves with leaf quality, extraction method and how tightly you control the temperature profile. That 4:1 assumption drives the entire working-capital model: a 2,000kg leaf batch yields roughly 500kg of powder worth £39,000 at £78/kg, against £12,400 of leaf. If yield drifts to 4.8:1, per-batch contribution falls about 16%. This is the sensitivity most first-time plans leave out, and the one an experienced lender asks about.
Can I start a tea extract business without a factory?
Yes, and for most first-time founders it is the better route. Toll manufacture lets a contract extractor run the process while you own the specification, the certificates of analysis, the brand and the buyer relationships. Time to first revenue drops from 14–22 months to 4–7, and capital drops from roughly $700K to under $420K. The trade-off is margin — 22–32% gross instead of 40–50% — plus a real strategic risk: your toller sees your spec, volumes and customers. Keep the analytical method as your IP and never let the toller invoice your customer.
What is the difference between tea extract and instant tea powder?
Instant tea powder is designed to reconstitute into a drinkable tea, so it is made and specified for flavour, colour and solubility. Tea extract is specified for its bioactive content — polyphenol percentage, catechin profile, EGCG concentration — and usually ends up as an ingredient inside somebody else's supplement or beverage rather than being drunk on its own. The distinction matters commercially: instant powder competes with beverage houses like Finlays, which is the global leader in instant tea powder for beverages, while standardised extract competes with ingredient houses like Martin Bauer Group, Synthite and Taiyo. The regulatory position differs too — the EU EGCG restriction exempts aqueous extracts that reconstitute like a traditional infusion.
What do lenders look for in a tea extract business plan?
Contracted volume first, everything else second. Because manufacturing posts 7(a) default rates under 4% and contract-backed niche manufacturers often move faster through underwriting, a plan with signed letters of intent is read as a contract-backed manufacturer with a build-out need rather than a speculative startup. Beyond that: the correct NAICS code (311942, Spice and Extract Manufacturing, 500-employee size standard), a break-even expressed in tonnes rather than pounds, a yield sensitivity, a named EGCG regulatory position, and a capital ask sized against the FY2025 7(a) average of $477,571 rather than against your ideal plant.
