Case Study - Diversity & Inclusivity Consulting

A consulting company with over 10 years of focusing on diversity and inclusion approached us to better understand their ideal clientele, ideal market, the right size of the target companies, and the trends in the industry. Avvale worked with them over the course of 3 months.

The first and most important aspect of the project was conducting market research for the company, which consisted of the following:

  • Market Size
  • Target Market
  • Customer Analysis
  • Geographical Analysis
  • Competitor Analysis

Through research, we found out that the global market for Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) was estimated at US$7.5 Billion in the year 2020 and is projected to reach a revised size of US$15.4 Billion by 2026, growing at a CAGR of 12.6% over the analysis period. We understood that there is a massive demand for DEI consultancy and the industry is booming. U.S. companies have stepped up support for DEI training and related programs since George Floyd's murder in May 2020.

Through Analysis, we identified the ideal clientele for the company should have a size ranging from 50 to 500 employees. The Geographical Analysis helped us understand where they key target customers are located around the US and what regions the company should establish a presence in order to be located closer to the clients in the targeted regions for better reach and relationship building. We also established that the business should also focus on companies that have been flagged for violating DE&I regulations or those that require DE&I audits.

The firm also wanted to generate a list of potential companies they could target for their business. Based on the geographical location of the client, our consultants generated a list of leads for the business based on the ideal client categorization formulated earlier. Apart from that we also created an email and LinkedIn marketing templates and materials for the company to use for their marketing and to generate leads for the business and grow the company.
